John Burke named manager of Weichert, Realtors' Princeton office

PRINCETON – Joe McDonald, regional vice president of Weichert, Realtors, announced that John Burke has been named sales manager of Weichert’s Princeton office. A licensed real estate professional since 1989, Burke joins Weichert with 26 years of management experience.

 

“I am thrilled to welcome John to the management team at Weichert, Realtors,” McDonald said. “His market knowledge, business planning expertise, and proven track record in training and motivating both new and experienced sales associates will propel the Princeton office to new levels of success.”

From ayoung age, Burke followed a clear path to success in the real estate industry. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate from Appalachian State University in North Carolina, then joined his father’s real estate company upon graduation. He honed his skills for several years with his father, and then with the company that purchased the family agency. In 1995, Burke joined a top-producing branch office for a prominent Central Jersey brokerage, where he spent more than 23 years leading his sales team to many successes.

“My role as a team leader is to help each sales associate identify and build on the strengths he or she brings to their career as a Realtor,” Burke said. “Through training, support and motivation, I can guide them to success. I am excited to begin a challenging new phase of my own career as part of the Weichert family.”

Burke’s personal achievements include Realtor of the Year from the National Association of Realtors, New Jersey Realtors and Mercer County Association of Realtors.

Burke is a past chairman of the board of Trend MLS and a former member of its executive committee. He is a current member of the Bright MLS board of directors. Burke served on NJ Realtors’ Legal Affairs Committee and Strategic Planning Committee. He also spent 10 years on Mercer County Association of Realtors’ board of directors and currently serves on its Professional Standards Committee. Burke is a former trainer for GMAC Real Estate and spoke at several GMAC National Business Conferences.

 

Burke and his wife, Colleen, have three children, Michael, Jamie and Clare. He enjoys spending time with his family, biking, reading, sailing and skiing.
