It's the homestretch of the regular season for the Iowa State football team.

The 17th-ranked Cyclones, coming off a bye week, begin their final three-game pod of the regular season Saturday against Kansas State.

Iowa State (5-2, 5-1 Big 12) is in first place in the conference, tied with Oklahoma State in the loss column and a game up on the Wildcats, Oklahoma and Texas with three games remaining on the schedule.

The Big 12 championship game will be played on Dec. 19, in Arlington, Texas.

The straightforward way for the Cyclones to secure a berth in the game is simply to win out. They control their own fate, and will get the opportunity to play for their first conference championship since 1912 if the are victorious in these final three games — with a trip to Texas and West Virginia at home also remaining on the docket.

It starts this weekend at Jack Trice Stadium against the Wildcats. Here's how to watch.
