The 212-meter Sky Tower, the tallest residential and commercial building in Poland, was officially opened May 24 in the western Polish city of Wroclaw.
The opening ceremony was attended by 600 guests including former Polish president Lech Walesa and former finance minister Leszek Balcerowicz.
Leszek Czarnecki, the investor behind the project, said at the ceremony: “I hope it [Sky Tower] will soon become one of the symbols of Wroclaw.”
He added: “Sky Tower, as an innovative investment project, perfectly fits the image of our city, which is steadily developing and aims to become a business center of Central Europe.”
To mark the opening of Sky Tower, a special concert was played by the Roma Sinfonietta orchestra, conducted by Ennio Morricone, at the Wroclaw Opera House.
