We're over a month into the 2020 KBO schedule now and the NC Dinos (22-6) still hold a four-game lead over the Doosan Bears (18-10) for first place. However, the Kiwoom Heroes (17-12) are the hottest team in the Korea Baseball Organization with five consecutive wins and they're now just 1.5 games back of Doosan for second place. On Sunday, Kiwoom will look to make it six in a row by completing the series sweep against the third-place LG Twins (17-11).

Kiwoom outfielder Jung-hoo Lee is coming off a 2-for-4 game where he hit a solo homer and a double in a 5-4 win over LG and the 21-year-old now has a 1.044 OPS for the season. He's a big reason why Kiwoom is a -145 favorite over LG on Sunday in the KBO odds. Before locking in any KBO picks for Sunday's games, be sure to see the Korean baseball best bets from SportsLine data engineer Mike McClure.

Recognized in the book "Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn your hobby into a Fortune" as a top Daily Fantasy Baseball Player, McClure has won almost $2 million in daily Fantasy sports. And in 2016, McClure launched the wOBA Projection Model for MLB picks, which has returned $2,300 to $100 bettors. If anybody knows how to spot value in baseball lines, it's him.

Now, he's turned his attention to the KBO and locked in three strong picks for Sunday. Parlaying his three selections would pay out over 5-1. You can only see them here

Top Korean Baseball predictions for June 7

One of McClure's top KBO picks for Sunday: He's backing the Samsung Lions (-125) to end their current three-game losing streak against the SK Wyverns. Samsung will have former Phillies starter David Buchanan on the mound on Sunday and he's starting to settle in after getting roughed up in two of his first three starts.

Buchanan has thrown seven innings in each of his last two starts and he's allowed just one run total over those 14 innings to bring his ERA down to 4.50. And SK starter Seung-won Moon has posted a 5.06 ERA for the season and has given up 34 hits already this season in just 26 2/3 innings.

"I make the Lions -138 on the road against the Wyverns," McClure told SportsLine. "Ignore the record and ERA, David Buchanan is the much better pitcher in this matchup. His WHIP indicates he's been a little unlucky thus far. Lay it."
