A Massachusetts man arrested for breaking into the Kennedy Compound said he was searching the property for Katy Perry, cops said.

James Lacroix, 53, was busted on the Cape Cod property after he answered a phone call from Ted Kennedy Jr., the son of late Sen. Edward (Ted) Kennedy and a candidate for state Senate in Connecticut, late Tuesday, WVIT reported.

Kennedy, worried about the safety of his teenage son, alerted Barnstable police — who found Lacroix a short time later at the Hyannisport residence famously used by John F. Kennedy during his successful 1960 presidential campaign.

Lacroix told the officers that he was looking for the “I Kissed a Girl” singer, but could not explain why he thought the pop star would be at the address, WBZ-TV reported.
