crash-graphic  SAN DIEGO – A motorist fled the scene after striking a woman in her 20s and her dog in Normal Heights early Thursday, injuring the woman and killing the canine, police said.

The hit-and-run at 33rd Street and Adams Avenue occurred around 7:30 a.m., according to San Diego police.

Paramedics took the woman to a hospital to treat what appeared to be minor injuries, police said.

Police were looking for a silver or gray box-style Scion with Arizona plates and front end damage.
