Olivia Wilde apologized after no fewer than four people passed out Wednesday at her intense Broadway show, “1984.”

“Sending my love to those 4 people who fainted in the audience,” tweeted Wilde.

She added the disclaimer, “Warning: this is not your grandma’s Broadway. Hope all are OK!” A spy explained of the Orwell adaptation produced by Sonia Friedman and Scott Rudin: “The production is loud and people find it shocking,” and “there is a particularly harrowing scene involving a rat.”
