Born in College Station, Texas, Rico Rodriguez made the move from Texas to Los Angeles, California, in 2005 at the age of 6, with his mom and sister, Raini, to support his sister's dream of becoming an actress. After one year of watching his sister having fun and success, he enrolled in acting classes and soon started making a name for himself.

He has also appeared as a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Lopez Tonight, Ellen and The View. He was asked to serve as a red carpet correspondent for ABC.com's red carpet coverage of the Academy Awards®, as well as E! Since the premiere of the Emmy® Award-winning series Modern Family, Rodriguez has garnered widespread attention for his work in the role of "precocious, old soul" Manny Delgado. He received the Impact Award from the National Hispanic Media Coalition, as well as being nominated as Male Breakout Star for the 2010 Teen Choice Awards. Rodriguez was selected as one of Entertainment Weekly's 2010 Entertainers of the Year and chosen as one of five entertainers to receive their own cover, as well as ranked No. 4 on GQ Magazine's 25 Most Stylish Men on Television. He was also honored with being chosen as the first minor to ever speak at the opening of the SAG Awards.

In 2011, Rodriguez made a cameo as himself and filmed with the legendary Kermit the Frog in The Muppets. After filming the lead role of Jose in Endgame, he got to record his first-ever leading role as Cuco in the animated feature film Americano.

Rodriguez has been featured as a guest judge on Chopped Junior and appeared alongside his two older brothers, his sister and their dad on Celebrity Family Feud; he just wrapped shooting another soon-to-be-released game show appearance with his sister, Raini, and will be making a guest appearance on one of his favorite nighttime talk shows.
