Relative Of Wilcox Ave. Shooting Victim Arrested

Police arrested 27-year-old Anthony L. Jackson in the stabbing and shooting death of 43-year-old Timothy Jackson.

PEORIA, IL β€” Peoria Police are investigating after a man was stabbed, shot and killed by a relative Thursday morning in the 600 block of West Wilcox Ave. WMBD reported 27-year-old Anthony L. Jackson was arrested in the stabbing and shooting death of 43-year-old Timothy Jackson, for charges including Aggravated Battery with a Knife, Murder, Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon, and No FOID for the homicide

According to WMBD, officers were called to West Wilcox around 3:45 a.m. on reports of a fight in the street, but found no one upon arrival. The news report adds that according to officials, Timothy went to the hospital for a stab wound, and once released drove back to West Wilcox where he was shot by Anthony.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said Jackson was shot five times and likely died instantly, as he was found slumped over the wheel of a car on Wilcox where officials believe he was returning to his girlfriend's home.
