Jen Gong-Gershowitz has huge chance to win IL House 17th District

She will be Strong progressive voice in Springfield on behalf of every communities and families

A Glenview, Illinois native Jennifer Gong-Gershowitz has a huge chance to win Illinois House 17th District currently she won Primary election in her district. Her challengers were Candance Chow, Mary Rita Luecke, Alexandra Eidenberg, and Pete Dagher. Now she is facing Republican Peter Lee in upcoming November General Election.

Since incumbent Rep. Laura Fine decided to run for State Senate. As an attorney, Gong-Gershowitz partnered with the National Immigrant Justice Center to successfully represent victims of child trafficking and forced marriage. As a founding member and co-chair of the Illinois Unaccompanied Children’s Task Force, she brought immigration advocates and law enforcement together to protect vulnerable children. She currently serves as an attorney in a community-based legal aid clinic devoted to assisting low-income residents in housing, immigration and domestic violence.

According to a voter of 17th District she said, "We are so glad she is running in our District she will bring positive changes in our District. She will be a strong progressive voice in Springfield on behalf of our families.”

A Morton Grove residence Mohammad Ali said ' She is very good with Muslim Community. I meet her in MEC Mosque several times. She will be a strong voice on behalf of our Muslim Community."

John, a local Businessman from Glenview said, “Jennifer will be good for Small business owner. I will definitely vote for her."

A High School teacher from Wilmette said, "I am voting for her because she is an intelligent civic engagement leadership. She has a solid grasp of the problems the state faces. Jennifer will bring those voices into the ongoing debate on critical issues in Illinois."

Jeffery 72, a retired contractor from Evanston said, “Jennifer knocked my door, I never meet such a fantastic candidate in my life. She mostly talks about several issues like health care, education, gun control, and justice reform. She is impressive candidate."

Another resident of 17th District Mr. Gary said "I meet Jen several times and discuss several issues. Her strategic and operational experience will be valuable to the district 17th. She will serve as an honest and independent progressive voice in the State Capitol.

She has been endorsed by several politician and organization Such as Congressman Brad Schneider, Illinois AFL-CIO, the Chicago Federation of Labor, the Illinois Federation of Teachers, Equality Illinois, the IndoAmerican Democratic Organization, SEIU Local 73, AFSCME, Citizen Action Illinois, Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois, Personal PAC, Democrats of Northfield Township, Niles Township Democratic Organization, New Trier Democratic Organization, and local leaders including Assistant Majority Leader Lou Lang, MWRD Commissioner Josina Morita, Glenview Trustees Debby Karton and Scott Britton, former State Sen. Jeff Schoenberg, Niles Township Supervisor Marilyn Glazer, Niles Township Trustee Mark Collins, Skokie Corporation Counsel Michael Lorge, Skokie Trustee Michele Bromberg, and Skokie Park Board Commissioners Mike Reid and Khemarey Khoeun.

The 17th District includes all or parts of Skokie, Evanston, Glenview, Wilmette, Golf, Morton Grove and Northbrook.
