Iowa State has its first 2019 visitor on the summer schedule.

Tyler Wahl, a four-star forward from Lakeville, Minnesota, will take an unofficial visit to Iowa State on June 12, a source with direct knowledge of the situation told the Register.

Iowa State target Tyler Wahl (dunking) will take an unofficial visit to Ames on June 12.

The Cyclones offered Wahl on May 3 during his rise through the Midwest recruiting rankings this spring. In addition to his Iowa State offer, Wahl has picked up offers from Butler, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Drake since April 22. He also holds offers from Colorado State and Northern Iowa, among other low- and mid-majors.

Wahl, who plays on D1Minnesota with Iowa State point guard target Tyrell Terry, is the No. 6 target on the Register's second edition of Iowa State's basketball recruiting big board. The Cyclones are going guard-heavy with their 2019 class, but they'd also like to add an athletic forward.

The four-star Wahl, at 6-foot-7 and 200 pounds, fits the bill. Although his shot needs work, Iowa State loves his length and play-making ability.

247Sports gives Wahl four stars and ranks him the No. 124 prospect in the class. Rivals does not yet have Wahl rated.
