Borowiec Named to New England Division I Women's Soccer Top 50 List

HAMDEN, Connecticut - Quinnipiac women's soccer senior Madison Borowiec (Windsor, Connecticut) has been named one of the top 50 Division I women's soccer players in New England by the New England Soccer Journal.

The senior is currently tied for the team lead in both goals (four) and points (10) with redshirt sophomore Kelsey Goldring (Armonk, New York). Borowiec has started all 14 games for the Bobcats this season, logging over 1,000 minutes in those contests.

Earlier this calendar year, Borowiec was ranked 35th on NESJ's Top 50 prospects list after a very strong 2017 season. The midfielder was a 2017 Second-Team All-MAAC Selection where she appeared in all 19 games for Quinnipiac and started in 15 of them. Borowiec struck for five goals and seven assists for 17 points, good for fourth on the team. Borowiec was also the first player to score a goal at the new Quinnipiac Soccer Stadium in a win over Army West Point in the opening game.

Borowiec has netted 12 goals and 12 assists in her Quinnipiac career.

The Windsor, Connecticut native attended Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford, Connecticut and played club soccer for Oakwood.
