CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union to Award $10,000 in Scholarships

For more than 20 years now, CommonWealth One has been awarding scholarships to student members to help them achieve their educational dreams and a debt-free life.

CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union is once again awarding $10,000 in scholarships to high-achieving students.

The credit union continues to be committed to helping make higher education more affordable for its members.
 
For more than 20 years, CommonWealth One has been awarding scholarships to student members to help them achieve their educational dreams and a debt-free life.
 
The four $2,500 scholarships will serve as funding for educational expenses during the 2018-2019 academic year.
 
Applications are due by March 31, 2018. The scholarships are open to all CommonWealth One members. To be eligible, the applicant must be the primary member on their own account and be a graduating high school senior or college/university student attending a fully accredited college, university or other institution of higher learning.
 
Applications are evaluated by a committee and judged based upon an essay, extracurricular activities, community involvement, honors and awards, employment and/or internships, and academic excellence and achievement.
 
The scholarships include:
 
Kathryn R. Coleman Scholarships
 
Two (2) CommonWealth One Kathryn R. Coleman Scholarships are available, named in honor of CommonWealth One’s past President and CEO, Kathryn R. Coleman. The Kathryn R. Coleman Community Leader Scholarship and the Kathryn R. Coleman Financial Capability Scholarship are both available. T.C. Williams High School Scholarships with the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria
 
The CommonWealth One T.C. Williams Scholarship for $2,500 is available for students at T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia. The Academy of Finance Scholarship is available to T.C. Williams students who are active members of the Academy of Finance. Each scholarship is $2,500.
