CEDAR FALLS, Ia.  – Des Moines National Weather Service confirms 11 tornadoes touched down yesterday.

We know one tornado touched down near Clutier, and another touched down near Tama. A third, brief tornado touched down about three miles southeast of Janesville. All three are considered EF- 0.

The tornado near Janesville appeared to track northward through cropland before striking a farmstead.

Tonight, some rural Cedar Falls homeowners are saying a possible tornado might be what caused all the damage on their property.

Part of the roof of a brand new horse shed was ripped off. A horse trailer was flipped onto its side. This all happened at a property on W. Gresham Road in rural Cedar Falls.

“Our dog house was originally back behind our garage, and it’s in the front yard now,” says Bobbi Burch.

Luckily no one was injured, and the house had minimal damage. Many neighbors pitched in to help with cleanup.

The National Weather Service has not yet confirmed whether or not this was a tornado.
