Marilyn Manson is back from injury and ready to perform a rescheduled show at 8 p.m. Jan. 16 at the Fox Theater in Oakland.
The rock star, who sold millions of albums during his commercial heyday in the ’90s, was originally set to perform at the same venue back in October. But he was forced to postpone the date due to a stage injury that occurred in September. The singer was performing at New York City’s legendary Hammerstein Ballroom when a stage prop toppled onto him, crushing his leg and putting a halt to the show.
The incident was captured on video by some audience members and shared via social media platforms.
“I only recently watched the video of it,” Manson said about the video to Yahoo. “I can see how it could look terrifying. It was terrifying for me, because the truss was not secured properly.”
The injury also led to Manson canceling his set at the big Aftershock festival in Sacramento.
Now, he’s back on the road and ready to rock the Bay Area.
