Editor's note: In no way is this article intended to put pressure on Kings Island to construct and operate a Cincinnati Bengals-themed roller coaster. Rather, it's a fun look at what Kings Island COULD do in response to a planned Steelers-themed roller coaster near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

A fierce AFC North rival is collaborating with a nearby amusement park for a team-based roller coaster and themed area which will open in 2019.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Kennywood Park announced plans during a press conference on Thursday.

Here are the details on the "Steel Curtain" roller coaster and themed area from the team's press release.

The towering “Steel Curtain” roller coaster will rule Kennywood’s skyline. With a record-breaking 9 inversions, 197 foot-tall loop, and 220-foot maximum height, “Steel Curtain” is an adrenaline rush like no other, speeding across 4,000 feet of track at 75 miles per hour. Designed by S&S Worldwide, “Steel Curtain” will break a Pennsylvania record (tallest roller coaster), a North American record (most inversions), and a world record (tallest inversion). The colossal steel structure of the coaster will serve as a landmark addition to the park and a high-energy entry point welcoming guests to Steelers Country.

Throughout Steelers Country, fans will have the opportunity to join in on familiar game day moments, including running through the team’s entry tunnel, seeing how they measure up in practice drills and checking scores and highlights on Steelers Country’s giant video screen.

We watched the roller coaster and our review is 'meh.' The ride is interesting – if you like to go upside down. That would be interesting for Bengals fans – only if this year's AFC North would be upside down from last year.

But would true Bengals fans be caught on a Steelers ride?

Kings Island, the ball's in your court.

How about a Bengals ride in Cincinnati?

Here are a few of ideas:

"The Ickey Shuffler"

Lots of shifting from side to side, but it's a lot of fun.

"The Simpson Leap"

It goes upside down, but sticks the landing.

"The Red Rifle"

The ride hasn't always been successful, but dang it, it's going deep.
