Fulcrum Associates 2018 Charity Golf Classic Raises $7,000 to Support NH Food Bank

Fulcrum Associates 2018 Charity Golf Classic Raises $7,000 to Support NH Food Bank

Fulcrum Associates, a leading construction management firm in southern New Hampshire, recently raised $7,000, the equivalent of 14,000 meals, to support the New Hampshire Food Bank during its second annual Charity Golf Classic. The tournament, held at the Manchester Country Club in Bedford this past September, raised critical funding to support the New Hampshire Food Bank in providing nutritious food to those in need.

“Fulcrum is proud to support the incredible work the New Hampshire Food Bank does to feed New Hampshire’s most vulnerable community, and we thank our friends, family and associates who participated in our tournament this year,” said Jeff Luter, President of Fulcrum. “At 50-cents per meal, any size donation has an incredible impact, which is particularly important this time of year when the cost of heating a home or fulfilling a holiday shopping list may mean skipping out on groceries for some families.”

One in nine New Hampshire residents, including 11-percent of children, are
food insecure, meaning they do not know where their next meal will come from. Last year alone, the New Hampshire Food Bank distributed 13.7 million pounds of food to its more than 425 partner agencies. By the time 2018 concludes, the New Hampshire Food Bank expects to distribute more than 14 million pounds of food this year because of the growing demand.

“The New Hampshire Food Bank receives no federal or state funding for food
distribution, so we are incredibly grateful for companies such as Fulcrum for
their continued generosity and support,” said Eileen Groll Liponis, executive
director, New Hampshire Food Bank, a program of Catholic Charities New
Hampshire. “Donations we receive are critically important in helping feed
people in need, and we thank Fulcrum for its contribution.”
