Obituary: Carol Ann Walz, of St. James, Dies At 72

Died: July 29, 2018

Visitation: Tuesday, July 31 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Fives Smithtown Funeral Home on 31 Landing Avenue in Smithtown.

Service: Wednesday, August 1 starting at 10 a.m. at the Sts. Philip and James R.C. Church on 454 N. Country Road in St. James.

Obituary: Carol Ann Walz, of St. James, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 29. She was 72.

Walz worked as a customer service representative at Capital One Bank for 26 years.

She enjoyed most vacations with her family in the Northeast often attending antique truck and auto meets.

She cherished her memories of small village drives and old city grandeur thru out Germany, Switzerland and Austria with her loved ones.

Walz is survived by her husband, Karl Walz, the love of her life whom she was married to for 49 years.

She was predeceased in life by her parents, Harry and Mary Hurski; as well as her siblings Helen Walsh (late Ed Walsh) and late Harry Hurski (Lillian Hurski).

In addition, she is survived by her sons, Karl Walz Jr. and Tim Walz as well as her sister, Mary Missbach (late Al Missbach).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Kidney Fund or American Diabetes Association.
