BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Recent violent crime in Baltimore and Howard counties include a shooting after a fight in Ellicott City, an armed carjacking in the Cedonia/Rosedale area and assaults on stores in Arbutus and the Violetville area.
At 10:46 p.m. on Feb. 3, Howard County police responded to reports of a fight and shots fired on Kings Gift Drive in Ellicott City, off of Frederick Road near I-70.
A 17-year-old girl was found with a gunshot wound to the arm, according to police reports.
She was taken to Howard County General Hospital, treated and released. There is no suspect description, and the investigation is ongoing.
A robbery and carjacking was reported on Whitby Road in Baltimore County's Cedonia/Rosedale area on Feb. 3.
Three people approached a victim at 7:40 p.m., near Hamilton and Cedonia avenues, displayed a gun and stole the victim's property and car keys, reported police.
The suspects then fled in the victim's vehicle.
A first-degree assault was reported at Ravenwood Shopping Center, at Taylor Avenue/Loch Raven Boulevard in the Parkville area.
At 8:44 p.m. on Feb. 1, someone displayed a knife and made stabbing motions toward another person. No injuries were reported and the suspect was arrested.
A Royal Farms store was robbed at gunpoint in the Violetville area on Feb. 4.
At about 8 p.m., someone entered the store, on Wilkens Avenue near Arion Park Road, displayed a gun and demanded money from the clkers.
The clerks couldn't open the register, so the suspect took cigarettes, said police.
A Rite Aid pharmacist was also assaulted in Arbutus on Feb. 3.
Two people entered the Rite Aid, on Westland Boulevard near Maiden Choice Lane at about 3 p.m., physically assaulted the pharmacist and took prescription medicine.
At about 8:15 p.m. that day in Lansdowne, three people approached someone outside his home on Ryerson Circle, near Hollins Ferry Road.
One of the suspects displayed a knife and took money from the victim.
Earlier in the day, at 3:45 p.m., a first-degree assault was reported in the Nottingham/White Marsh area.
Someone was cut by an unknown suspect with an unknown sharp object, on Pinewall Place near Walther Boulevard,
The suspect then fled.
