Dennis Edinger, 82, of Cathay, ND, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford, ND.

Dennis Merlin Edinger was born on February 19, 1935, in New Rockford, ND, the son of Edward and Annie (Reddig) Edinger. He grew up on the family farm in Cathay, attending school there. He graduated from Cathay High School in 1955. After graduating he continued to farm with his father taking over in 1962. Dennis served in the US Army from 1960-1962.

On August 20, 1961, Dennis was united in marriage to Moneen Ableidinger, at Cathay Baptist Church, Cathay, ND. Together they raised two children Pat and Mary. He enjoyed farming and all aspects of it. He enjoyed camping and snowmobiling with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Moneen, Cathay; children Pat (Kathy) Edinger, Valley City and Mary Edinger, Fargo; grandchildren Erin Edinger, Cedar Rapids, IA, Ashten Edinger, Langdon, ND; brother Richard (Judy) Edinger, Fergus Falls, MN, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Annie Edinger, sisters Irma Meth, Carol Trochmann, Myra Boelke, Alyce Schlittendhardt, and brother Wallace Edinger.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service

Funeral: Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 10:00AM in Federated Church UCC/UMC, Carrington, ND

Burial: Lakeview Cemetery, Cathay, ND
