A Co Antrim family have transformed their home into a spectacular festive feast for the eyes - all for a brilliant cause.

Carlyn and Tom Nicholl's Carrickfergus home has always attracted lots of visitors over the festive period thanks to their incredible lights display and this year they've decided to help a local charity in need.

The family is urging everyone who comes along to view their spectacular Christmas lights to make a donation no matter how small to the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice.

Speaking to Belfast Live, a family member said: "This year we have decided to raise money for the Children's Hospice and support their Jingle All The Way campaign.

"Sadly the hospice have had their funding cut and have already had to close four rooms which means that's four children going without the care and help they really need.

"All we're asking is for you to call round and pop any spare change that is jingling in your pockets or purses and pop it into the bucket in the front garden whilst having a wee nosey at the vast array of decorations.

"Please help us support the hospice which provides such amazing care for local families."

You can pop round to the Nicholl's home on Old Grange Avenue, Carrickfergus between 6 and 9pm to see the Christmas spectacular and make and donation.
