Clairo Breaks Down “4EVER” On Genius’ Series ‘Verified’

Boston singer-songwriter Clairo broke through in August 2017 when her viral hit “Pretty Girl” took off on YouTube. The college freshman followed up with her debut EP diary 001 in May, which includes the single “4EVER.” The track is one of Clairo’s most popular songs to date, pulling in 3.5 million Spotify streams within the first month of its release.

“When you first meet someone and start a relationship everything’s real exciting and fun in the beginning,” Clairo tells Genius. “That’s a question I feel like people ask themselves all the time in relationships. They’re like, ‘Oh shit, hopefully I like this person five years from now.’”
