CASA volunteer information hour, training Feb. 22
Looking for a way to contribute to your community children? Can you dedicate, on average, 8-10 hours a month to help advocate what's in the best interest of a local child?
CASA of Carson City represents the best interest of children that have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect and/or abandonment.
We need volunteers to be the eyes and ears for our juvenile court judges; someone to represent the best interest of the child and to solely focus on the child's well being, wants and needs.
No experience needed. Must be 21 or older and have a passion for children.
We also provide a free pre-service training to help prepare you for your service. Once training is over, you will never be alone on this journey.
CASA of Carson City will be with you every step of the way. Our staff attends all hearings, by your side. Our team gets together twice a month to have coffee and bounce around ideas, ask questions, or simply talk.
It's a new year and a new you. Become a CASA Advocate today.
Contact our CASA Director, Melanie McCormick, at MelanieMcCormickCASA@outlook.com with any questions you may have.
Please volunteer your time to change a child’s life!
The upcoming information hour and training is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22 at the CASA of Carson City office located at 1539 East 5th Street in Carson City. Call (775) 882-6776 or email MelanieMcCormickCASA@outlook.com.
