According to reported charging documents, when she refused to stop seeing the boy, they carried out a barrage of abuse from December 2023 to January 2024, including beating her unconscious with a broom. Small and his wife are also accused of threatening to 'earth slam' her down the stairs, striking her with a belt, and punching her in the mouth.

Terrified mothers have been forced to flee a Melbourne shopping centre with their children after a bloody brawl broke out between a group of machete-wielding men. The group of men brawled inside the Woodgrove Shopping Centre (main) at Melton in Melbourne's north-west at about 5pm on Monday. Witnesses claim the men, who they believe were teenagers, were armed with a variety weapons and were seen waving knives and throwing chairs during the melee. One of the men was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. One shopper said she and her three children hid inside the baby changing rooms with other scared mothers as the brawl unfolded.

USC's valedictorian, Asna Tabassum, has been barred from speaking at commencement due to alleged antisemitic social media posts. Tabassum's pro-Palestinian stance and links promoting the abolition of Israel led to a backlash and calls for her removal. Billionaire heiress Ivy Love Getty - the great-granddaughter of oil tycoon J. Paul Getty - has filed for divorce from her husband Tobias 'Toby' Engel.  The artist and model, 29, called it quits on her marriage to the photographer and actor after four years together according to Page Six. Getty filed for divorce in January. The couple have a prenup in place to protect her billionaire family's assets. 

Iowa women's basketball star Caitlin Clark stepped out for the WNBA Draft wearing a special ensemble. Clark was wearing Prada from head to toe - becoming the first WNBA or NBA player to be dressed by the fashion house for the draft. Israel earlier vowed that it will respond to Iran's unprecedented drone and missile attack, amid fears that the Middle East is teetering on the edge of an all-our war. As the West urged for calmer heads to prevail in the Jewish state, Iranian Parliament's National Security Committee Abolfazl Amoue stated that Iran is 'prepared to use a weapon that we have never used' if Israel responds further. Speaking on Monday, he said Israel should consider its next steps and 'act wisely.' Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi also warned Israel it will face a 'painful response' if it takes the 'slightest action' in response to his country's attack. The threats raise fears that Iran's lacklustre drone and missile barrage - 99 percent of which was intercepted by Israel and its allies - could further push Tehran to develop nuclear weapons .

Catherine Crumlich, now 57, was just 17 years old when she left her one-day-old baby girl by a stream in Mendham, New Jersey, with the umbilical cord still intact. Denmark's historic stock exchange has erupted into flames after a fire broke out during renovations in Copenhagen today. Local media reported a 'large bang' early this morning before the 400-year-old spire collapsed, smoke billowing high above the city as locals reported debris from the 183ft tower crumbling into the street below. 'It's horrible. It was one of the city's most beautiful buildings.
