CT State Trooper Accused Of Drunk Driving In Norwich: Report

The incident occurred Sunday evening, Nov. 11.

NORWICH, CT — A 34-year-old Connecticut State Police trooper was arrested Sunday in Norwich on a charge of driving under the influence, writes WTNH-TV.

Sarah Starkey, a five-year veteran of Montville-based Troop E, was pulled over a little after 5 p.m. on West Main Street, after a witness allegedly notified Norwich police to report an erratic driver.

Details of the circumstances leading up to the arrest were not immediately available. In addition to DUI, Starkey was also charged with evading responsibility, unsafe movement from a standing position and failure to drive right.

Starkey was released after posting a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
