PLANNERS look set to visit the site of the proposed development of 140 homes at Frizington.

At a meeting held yesterday, councillors agreed to look at the site between Rheda Close and Rheda Park.

Genesis Homes Cumbria wants to build the "high quality" houses, which will comprise a range of two to five-bedroom properties.

The Penrith-based company has lodged an outline planning application with Copeland Council.

The proposed development would include 112 houses for sale on the market and 28 affordable homes.

It would be built on the greenfield site known as Rheda Park (North).

A new junction would be made on the B5294 road to access the estate. A children's play park may also be included in the plans.

The company said if the scheme were to go ahead, properties would be allocated between two and three parking spaces.
