Holiday Show to benefit Make-A-Wish Connecticut at Fairfield Theatre Company December 1st

Concert features Wish Kids and regional talent

Michael Patrick Dominick will host his 1st holiday concert to benefit Make-A-Wish Connecticut, Swingin’ In The Season. The show will take place at Fairfield Theatre Company, December 1st at 7:00PM, located at 70 Sanford Street, Fairfield CT. Michael serves as Community & Media Relations Manager for Make-A-Wish Connecticut, but is also a “Wish Brother” and volunteers his time as a singer and performer to benefit the Foundation. All proceeds benefit the organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

Swingin’ In The Season will feature an array of holiday classics in the styles of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Michael Buble, Nat “King” Cole and many other artists of era and style. Backed by a small jazz ensemble, Michael will entertain guests with memorable hits from across 60 years of holiday classics.

The concert will also feature 5 Wish Recipients who have had their wishes granted, each performing their own solos and duets as part of the effort to make future wishes come true. From Cooper’s wish to snorkel in a tropical paradise to Abe’s wish to go on a cruise, recipients young and old will join the stage in an effort to give back to the organization that changed their lives. They will share their stories, share their talents, and everyone in attendance will be moved by their courage and commitment to seeing future kids’ dreams come true.

“As a brother of a Wish Kid, I have seen what a wish can do for a child battling a life-threatening medical condition, but I can also speak to the experience a wish has on the entire family,” Dominick shared. Michael’s brother was diagnosed with a brain tumor at less than 1 year old. After multiple relapses and incredible treatment, Matty is now 18 years cancer free, happily married and working in Philadelphia.

“My entire family is eternally grateful to this organization and what it did for my brother Matty, and for our family, over 20 years ago,” continued Dominick. “As part of the Wish Family, we all do what we can to give back and say thank you.”
