UPDATE: Brother and sister killed in crash on I-79 South

UPDATE 5/8/17 @ 9:20 a.m.

AMMA, W.Va. (WSAZ)-- WSAZ has learned the names of two people killed in a single vehicle crash on I-79 in Roane County Sunday afternoon.

Victims' family members tell WSAZ that Pia Kratovel, 67 and Bernard Stiles, 72 were killed as they were going to North Carolina to see family.

Stiles and Kratovel were brother and sister from the Pittsburgh area.

The crash happened near the 25 mile marker of I-79 South in the Amma area just after noon on Sunday.

Troopers say the vehicle rolled over but the cause of the accident has not been determined.

AMMA, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- I-79 southbound is back open after a single vehicle rollover that killed two people.

The lanes were re-opened about four hours after the crash, according to dispatchers.

AMMA, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two people were killed in a single vehicle crash on I-79 in Roane County Sunday afternoon.

West Virginia State Police say a man and a woman were killed when their vehicle rolled over and threw them out of it.

The crash happened near the 25 mile marker of I-79 South in the Amma area just after noon on Sunday.

Troopers say all the southbound lanes near Amma are still expected to be closed for at least another two hours.

AMMA, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A crash has closed a portion of I-79 in the Amma area of Roane County.

According to West Virginia 511, the crash happened near the 25 mile marker of I-79 South just after 12 p.m.

Both southbound lanes are shut down and one northbound lane is closed while crews work the scene.

There is no word on injuries at this time.

WSAZ has a crew headed to the scene.
