Week 5 brought more outstanding prep performances in Coastal Alabama and most came in region games this time around.

Below are some of the top efforts for the week.

Here are your choices for Week 5:

Senior defensive tackle Fred Austin anchored a Vigor defense and limited Jackson to minus 2 yards of total offense in a 40-6 win on Friday. Austin was credited with two sacks and two more QB pressures as he spent the night in the Aggie backfield.

Rashawn McAlpine ran for 246 yards on just 11 carries - his fourth-straight game with more than 200 yards rushing - as Saraland defeated Robertsdale.

Joeffrey Hutcherson ran for 112 yards and three touchdowns as Citronelle remained undefeated with a 40-14 win over Faith Academy.

Bay Cummings kicked a 47-yard field goal as time expired in regulation to force overtime as McGill-Toolen rallied for a 17-10 win over MGM.

Sophomore linebacker Deontae Lawson returned a fumble 39 yards for a touchdown as Mobile Christian defeated Thomasville in a battle of Top 10 Class 3A teams.

Jermaine Brown threw for 190 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 144 yards as St. Luke's defeated Marengo 34-14.

Symon Smith ran for 196 yards and three touchdowns on just 14 carries as Class 4A No. 1 UMS-Wright remained undefeated with a win over Clarke County.

Hunter Jednat had a pair of interceptions - returning one for a 23-yard touchdown - as Satsuma defeated Wilcox Central. He also had an 85-yard TD reception and finished with four rushes for 46 yards.

Jahquinton Shaw had 300 all-purpose yards as Williamson rolled past Monroe County 56-0. Shaw had 105 yards rushing and a touchdown along with 50 yards receiving. He also had 100 yards in kickoff returns and a 9-yard punt return for a TD.

Trey Lewis returned a punt 85 yards, an interception 60 yards and had a 30-yard reception in Millry's 35-14 victory over McIntosh.
