Canceled Event: Bat Fest 2021 Celebrates Austin's Resident Bats

Austin's resident bats, the Mexican free-tailed bat, draw crowds from all over the country to catch a glimpse of their nightly flights and habits. This 2021, audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy nearly 1.5 million bats in all their glory as part of Bat Fest 2021, featuring bats emerging from under the bridge at dusk, 2 stages of live music, arts & crafts vendors, amazing food and drinks, fun children's activities, a bat costume contest, and other bat fun activities!

Scheduled Saturday, Aug. 28 from 4 p.m. to midnight at 100 S. Congress Ave., Austin, TX 78704 on the Congress Ave. Bridge & Austin American Statesman Parking Lot. The event will follow COVID-19 City of Austin guidelines at the time of the event. Admission is $20 in advance, $25 cash at the gate with children ages 8 and under free with and adult. VIP tickets available at $150 early bird, $200 regular price.

The event will also feature a bat costume contest with $100 prize for Best Adult Costume and $100 for Best Children's Costume, and originality is encouraged! For more information, including a lineup of performances, vendors, and important updates visit the event's Facebook page HERE.
