The former Police Chief of Thorp is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl.

The criminal complaint says the girl, who was around 6 years-old when the assaults happened, told investigators Richard Boie, 72, touched her in her private areas on more than one occasion.

The complaint says it happened at Boie's home, and that he told her not to tell anyone.

The Thorp City Administrator says Boie was the Police Chief of Thorp from 1970-1978.

Boie faces one count of repeated sexual assault of a child in Clark County.
