When Ethel Kennedy chills out on the Cape, she means business.

The 86-year-old matriarch of the famous political clan was the latest celebrity to take the Ice Bucket Challenge, raising support and awareness for ALS.

In a video posted to Facebook yesterday, her son Maxwell kicked off the proceedings with a short speech invoking his late father, New York Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, late uncles President John F. Kennedy and U.S. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, and late aunt, Eunice, and nominated his family — buckets and coolers in hand — to douse for a good cause.

After the conga line of kin assembled in Hyannisport were duly drenched, they then nominated “Grandma Ethel” to accept the challenge. She had a little trouble lifting the bucket, but a young relative was only too happy to help. But not before Ethel threw down the frosty gauntlet and nominated President Obama — who’s vacationing across the sound on Martha’s Vineyard — as the next bucketeer.

Your move, Mr. President.
