Waite to Lead Event that Recognizes Notable Single Mothers for their Outstanding Work and Sacrifice for Their Families

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / April 24, 2015 / Actress/TV host Alison Waite will host Single Mom Planet's Vision Awards, a star-studded fund-raising event on April 28, honoring notable single mothers for their work and sacrifice for their families. The event will be held at 8 p.m. at Maggiano's at The Grove, 189 The Grove Dr. Suite Z80, with red carpet arrivals beginning at 7 p.m.

Waite, former host and news correspondent for E! Entertainment, "Extra"and others, will be joined by a number of celebrities and stars such as Lisa Langlois ("The L Word"), Stephanie Danielson ("Femme Fatales"), Daphne Duplaix ("One Life to Live") actress and Playboy Playmate Irina Voronina and many others as part of the fundraising event benefiting Single Mom Planet, a charitable organization that aims to empower and support single mothers and their children with a variety of programs. Stella Rosa, the original semi-sweet, semi-sparkling wine brand is major supporter of the event. The event will also feature live music, a silent auction, a three-course dinner, celebrity speakers and more!

Waite has been a strong supporter of Single Mom Planet since its inception. "I'm very excited to host this great event that honors these amazing single mothers who have done so much for their families," she said.

The noted actress/TV host will be joined by Neferteri Plessy, founder and president of Single Mom Planet, who will lead the awards presentation with seven notable honorees. They are Dr. Beverly "Bam" Crawford, CEO of Bam Crawford Ministries; Lisa Robyn Deutsch, president of Soulful Design; Candace Boyd, Regional Manager, The Melt Restaurants; Kerry Zane, author of "It Takes All 5;" N.D. Brown, CEO of Tri Destined Studios, and Trey Haley, President of Tri Destined Studios; Devona Roy, COO, Excel Prep Academy; and Melanie Mack, CEO, Power of the Single Mom.

The fund-raising event aims to raise awareness of the needs and issues facing single mothers and their children, and will be produced by Single Mom Planet in association with Tinna White, of TU Productions. Single Mom Planet is a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization, solely dedicated to the concept of helping single moms, help themselves. Through interactive training and programs, single moms are provided the tools necessary to provide for their families and get ahead.
