New York editorials rip Sheldon Silver, call on him to resign as Assembly Speaker

Within hours of his arrest Thursday, editorial writers from around the state were already calling on Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver to resign.

The Rochester Democrat & Chronicle editorial board also thinks Silver should step down.

In 2013, the Syracuse Media Group editorial board called on Silver to resign his leadership position in the wake of the Assembly sexual harassment scandal.
