Liam Ryan was pumped up after the Eagles snapped their nine-game losing streak last night with a 10-point win over Essendon.

So pumped, he took home a special memento.

Ryan kicked two goals in the Eagles’ win, including a gem while being dragged to the ground, and thought he would relive the tale and rub salt into the wounds of a ‘kidnapped’ Essendon legend Kevin Sheedy.

In a video uploaded to Ryan’s Instagram tagged ‘dropping the GOAT off’, Sheedy can be heard jokingly calling for “help” in the back of a darkened car as Ryan filmed he and his partner Evana Hansen taking the Bombers great home from the passenger seat.

The calls elicited laughs all round and none harder than the legend himself while Ryan cracked his trademark grin.

Sheedy and West Coast have plenty of history together, which was not lost on Ryan, who can be heard explaining, “we have the legend with us, Kevin Sheedy, dropping him off home.”

The Eagles produced their best performance of the season on Friday night to hold off a fast-starting and finishing Bombers in front of more than 40,000 fans as Ryan made his return from injury and finished the game with 11 touches and two tackles to go with his goals.
