No one correctly picked the winning Mega Millions numbers drawn on Jan. 13, 2015, increasing the upcoming Friday jackpot to a whopping $270 million.

The Mega Millions numbers for Jan. 13: 12-20-25-50-51

The Mega Ball: 07

The Megaplier: 5

Six ticket holders in the lottery game matched five numbers on Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing, but missed the Mega Ball, winning $1 million each. The winning tickets were purchased in Arizona, Florida, New York, Michigan and two in Minnesota.

There was also a winner who correctly chose five numbers, plus Megaplier, and won $5 million.

Tuesday was the 20th drawing since a New York ticket holder won $321 million on Nov. 4. The lottery player had purchased the ticket at a Valero gas station in Middletown, New York, which is located in the Hudson Valley about an hour and 20 minutes outside of Manhattan. The $321 jackpot was the eighth largest in Mega Millions history.

If you are looking to get rich quick, be sure to purchase tickets for Friday's Mega Millions game by the deadline -- 15 minutes prior to the drawing.

There's another sizable jackpot ripe for the picking in tonight's Powerball drawing, which has a $176 million jackpot after no one matched Saturday's winning numbers of 2, 9, 19, 28 and 29 with the Power Ball of 19. Saturday was the 12th consecutive Powerball drawing since the last winner from Washington state took home $90 million on Nov. 29.

Mega Millions draws on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. Players pick six numbers from two separate pools of numbers. There are five different numbers from 1 to 75 and one number from 1 to 15, or players can select Easy Pick. The jackpot is won by matching all six winning numbers in a drawing. If you purchase a $1 ticket, your odds of winning the jackpot are 1-in-258.9 million.

Powerball draws Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Five white balls are drawn from a drum that contains 59 balls. One red ball is drawn from a drum containing 35 red balls. Ticket sales stop at least 59 minutes before the draw. It's best to check your local cut-off time where the lottery tickets are sold. If you purchase a $2 ticket, your odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 175,223,510.
