Recall Judge Rebecca Hardie and Judge Jill Fannin

Parents Against CPS Corruption is calling for the immediate removal of these Superior Court judges in Contra Costa County

Judge Jill Fannin and Judge Rebecca Hardie have consistently abused their powers on the bench, according to Parents Against CPS Corruption (PACC), a family rights and court watchdog group.

The watchdog group alleges that both of these judges routinely violate a litigant’s civil and constitutional rights, a pattern that was discovered after the court reform advocates conducted informal audits of several cases, and interviewed litigants.

In addition, the case audits indicated that Fannin and Hardie ignored evidence and made what appeared to be pre-determined rulings influenced by personal or social relationships between the judges and local divorce attorneys who regularly appear in court. Contrary to Judicial Canon 3B(4) of the Code of Judicial Ethics, Judge Fannin and Judge Hardie fail to be neutral arbitrators of the facts, and instead make life altering decisions based on politics and the attorneys involved in the case, say parents of PACC.

Judge Fannin has a long track record of further victimizing children of separation and divorce by taking them from the nurturing homes of the protective parent and placing them with abusers, felons, ex-convicts, drug dealers, drug addicts and even parents who are currently facing criminal prosecution, PACC charges. Allegedly, Judge Fannin is politically biased and an equal application of the law does not apply to whoever Fannin can draw the highest dollar child support order from.

Judge Hardie blatantly disregards Welfare and Institutions Code, and condemns reunification of children with their biological parents and natural families, according to court documents. PACC alleges that Judge Hardie's temperment is hostile and uneven; her demeanor on the bench is abusive, as she raises her voice and uses crass and inappropriate language in the court room.

Both Judge Hardie and Judge Fannin violate the California Judicial Code of Ethics and their Oaths of Office, according to litigants interviewed by PACC. Therefore, PACC is demanding that Judge Hardie and Judge Fannin be removed based upon their abject failure to protect survivors of domestic violence, their questionable ethics, their erratic courtroom demeanor, their disregard for the law, and their raging bias.

PACC hopes to help Contra Costa County elect fair, unbiased adjudicators of facts and evidence. Contra Costa County Superior Court deserves judges who will uphold the constitution, the Judicial Canons and follow the high bar set by their predecessors.
