SCOTS singer Ross Anderson is out The Voice after a knockout round blow in Jennifer Hudson's team.

The 17-year-old singing sensation bowed out of the show tonight after the judges voted not to send him through to the semi-finals.

He was up against fellow singers on Jennifer Hudson's team, Gayatri Nair and Jake Benson.
But only one of the performers could be selected and Ross didn't make the cut after singing 'Torn' as  Gayatri Nair progressed.

The coaches, Olly MursSir Tom JonesJennifer Hudson and will.i.am, are only allowed to choose two acts each to progress to the semi-finals.

Ross found fame after a social media boost from pop prince pal Shawn Mendes put him in the limelight.

Scots teen singer Saskia Eng dramatically saved on The Voice as will.i.am swoops in to steal her from Sir Tom Jones

The pair struck up an unlikely bromance last year when the superstar walked down Glasgow’s Buchanan Street and saw Ross busking.

He told his 50million-plus social media followers about the Scots youngster and the pair swapped numbers.
