WILTON Rotary Club will hold its mammoth car boot sale on Bank Holiday Monday in the grounds of Wilton House.

It is one of the largest of its kind in southern England. It costs £10 for a pitch for sellers and £5 for buyers.

TICKETS have gone on sale for the Beaton Image at Broad Chalke Village Hall on Saturday, September 6 at 7pm.

It costs £12 from the Chalke Valley Stores and includes a glass of Prosecco and finger food. Due to popular demand it is recommended tickets are bought in advance.

Cecil Beaton-themed items such as postcards, tea towels and chocolates will be on sale.

A CAR boot sale will be held at the football field in Nunton on Sunday. It is being held in aid of the Salisbury Diabetic Association, gates open at 10am.

THE Wilton Kingsway Indoor Short Mat Bowls Club is looking for new members to of any age or ability to join.

They meet for a friendly evening of bowls every Monday at the Bob Blandford Memorial Scout Hall from 7pm to 9pm. Contact Mike on 01722 742529.

THE Gurston Down speed hillclimb takes place on Sunday at 10.30am. It features some of the fastest cars in the UK will be held against the clock with points available for the towards the British Hillclimb championship.

Tickets cost £10 which includes free parking and paddock entry.
