New York City man used stolen IDs to buy cars from Westchester dealerships: DA

A New York City man was sentenced to 3 ½ to seven years in state prison on Wednesday after admitting to stealing three cars from Westchester car dealerships. 

Milton Alequin, 23, pleaded guilty to second-degree grand grand larceny. 

Milton Alequin of New York City was sentenced to state prison after pleading guilty to second-degree grand larceny  for stealing three cars from three Westchester car dealerships, via identity theft means.

Between Feb. 3 and Feb. 18, he used three different stolen identities to finance:

  • a 2017 Dodge Ram pickup truck for $78,487 from Westchester Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Cortlandt.
  • a 2018 Ford F150 pickup truck for $55,426 at Rye Ford. 
  • a 2018 Toyota Camry for $38,553 at Rivera Toyota of Mount Kisco. 

In all three cases, Alequin took possession of the vehicles the same day that he purchased them and drove off the lot with no money down, prosecutors said.
