There have been several changes to prep postseason games this week.

Walla Walla High’s Greater Spokane League/Mid-Columbia Conference District 8 volleyball match originally slated for Saturday against Mead is now set for 5:30 p.m. on Friday at Chiawana High in Pasco.

The winner of that loser-out match will play the winner of the Gonzaga Prep-University match to be played at the same time, for the third and final spot to the state tournament.

The final match is set at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Chiawana.

The Class 3A and 4A state tournament is set Nov. 16-17 at the SunDome in Yakima.

Prescott’s home state 1B/2B soccer quarterfinal match against Life Christian Academy set for 1 p.m. on Saturday has been moved to an 11 a.m. start due to a conflict with officials’ schedules, Tiger athletic director Jeff Foertsch said.

The winner of that match advances to the Final Four at Sunset Chevrolet Stadium in Sumner next weekend.

In other state play, Pomeroy has its Class 1B state tournament-opening match against Mount Vernon Christian at 1:30 p.m. today at the SunDome in Yakima.

And Walla Walla Valley Academy’s state 2B tournament opener against Mossyrock tipped off at 8 a.m. this morning, also at the SunDome.

The Pirates and Knights will have second matches today depending on the outcomes of their opening games, with both the 1B and 2B tournaments continue through Friday.
