Green Fest launches updated website

The Boonsboro Green Fest launched a new, updated website in preparation for the 10th-anniversary celebration of the event, which will be held Saturday, May 19, a week later than in previous years.

The website can be found at www.boonsborogreenfest.com. It was constructed by local artist and designer Dan Murphy of DM Designs, who has donated his time and talents to the festival for several years. The site lists vendors; sponsors; recyclables being collected; a student-produced video about last year’s event; archives of the first nine years of the festival; and online forms for volunteers, vendors and sponsors.

About 200 vendors will fill Shafer Park for the festival, which will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The vendor application deadline has passed, but volunteers may sign up online until Saturday, May 5.

The festival is produced by the all-volunteer, 18-member Boonsboro Green Fest Committee and is an official event of the Town of Boonsboro.

Inquiries may be directed to info@boonsborogreenfest.com or P.O. Box 64, Boonsboro, MD 21713.

Inspiring words

My quote for this week is one of my go-to’s for those not-so-great days. I hope you can tuck it away and use it when you need it:

“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think, and loved more than you’ll ever know.”
