NEW DELHI: As speculated, Realme has launched the successor to Realme C1 handset in India today. Called the Realme C2, the device has been launched along with the Realme 3 Pro. Back in September 2018, the company had launched Realme C1 as an entry-level smartphone at Rs 6,999.
Realme C2 price and availability
The Realme C2 has been launched in two storage variants. The base variant offers 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage and costs Rs 5,999.
The second variant that offers 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage is priced at Rs 7,999. The smartphone will be exclusively available on Flipkart.
The handset will be available starting May 15, at 12 noon on Flipkart and Realme website. The company has partnered with Reliance Jio to offer benefits worth Rs 5,300. The device is also expected to go on sale via offline channels as well at the same
time.
Realme C2 specifications
The Realme 2 features a 6.1-inch screen of HD+ resolution of with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Powered by 2.0 GHz MediaTek Helio P22 processor with IMG PowerVR GE 8320 GPU, the handset comes in two storage variants -- 2GB+16GB and 3+32GB. The smartphone runs Android Pie 9.0 out of the box and is perhaps one of the cheapest smartphones to run the latest OS.
For imaging duties, the Realme C2 offers dual camera setup on the back featuring 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel. The dual rear camera setup boasts of Artificial Intelligence-support. On the front, users get a 5-megapixel AI selfie camera.

Backed by a 4,000mAh battery, the Realme C2 includes 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm headset jack and microUSB port. In terms of battery capacity also, this is one of the few budget phones to offer such a large-sized battery at the given price. Realme C2 will compete against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Go
among a few other devices.
