Former Cowboys And Patriots WR Terry Glenn Was Reportedly Killed In A Car Accident

Former NFL wide receiver Terry Glenn was reportedly killed in a car wreck in Irving, Texas on Monday. Glenn was 43.

As a star at Ohio State, Glenn was an All-American and the Fred Biletnikoff Award winner in 1995, catching 64 passes for 1,411 yards and 17 touchdowns before declaring for the NFL Draft.

Glenn ended up being taken seventh overall in the 1996 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots, and as a rookie he caught 90 passes for 1,132 yards and six touchdowns. He would eclipse 1,000 yards receiving three more times over the course of his 12 year NFL career including in 1999 when he made his lone Pro Bowl of his career with 69 catches for 1,147 yards and four touchdowns.

Glenn played six seasons in New England before a year in Green Bay and finishing his career with five seasons in Dallas. Glenn revitalized his career in 2005 and 2006 towards the end of his career with 132 catches, 2,283 yards and 13 touchdowns in his age 31 and 32 seasons. For his career, Glenn had 593 catches for 8,823 yards and 44 touchdowns.

Some of Glenn’s former teammates took to Twitter on Monday morning to offer their condolences and prayers to Glenn’s family and new fiancée after hearing about the terrible news of his sudden passing.
