With another two months before we'll get an abbreviated new season of Louie, we found ourselves roaming through the YouTube archives for some more Louis C.K. fun and stumbled upon the clip below, in which a baby-faced C.K. and the legendary Robert Smigel hilariously pretend to be dog experts and act out silly dog voices on Late Night with Conan O'Brien.

Besides the fact that it's always jarring to see young C.K., Smigel's voice also serves as a precursor to Triumph The Insult Comic Dog. Throw in an appropriately dopey cameo from Adam Sandler in the audience, and you have a classic '90s clip worth watching.

C.K. was a writer on Late Night from 1993-1994 (appearing here and there in roles such as the one above or the 'Nicknames For Conan Guy'), but as the Washington Post points out, Conan seems to bring out the philosophical side of C.K. these days. Watch them reminisce about the old days below.
