Police have issued an alert for a missing person who “has links to Witney and Didcot”.

The missing person is named Charlie, he is 15 years old and is described as a white male, five foot eight and of slim build.

He has shoulder length dark hair and slight stubble.

Police are asking anybody with information to call 101 with reference INC-20220907-0428.

In 2010, Oxfordshire’s missing person count was the highest in Thames Valley.

In the same year it was reported that police attempt to locate 20 missing people a day in Oxfordshire.

By June of 2010, 1,181 missing person reports had been received in the county, the equivalent of seven per day, although that included repeat reports and people who disappear several time a year.
