What you missed at the Allegan County Fair
ALLEGAN COUNTY — Fairgoers road carnival rides, attended concerts, visited the animals and paraded through the grounds during the 170th Allegan County Fair in September.
The fair ran Saturday-Saturday, Sept. 9-17, and brought thousands to Allegan County for its largest event of the year. Entertainment included Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sam Hunt, Gabriel “Fluffy" Iglesias and Jimmie Allen — among others.
Other planned events included the Unique Motorsports Off Road Derby, Flying Star Rodeo, NTPA Truck and Tractor Pulls, Unique Motor Sports State Championship Demo Derby and Harness Horse Racing.

New equipment at this year’s fair included 3,000 new concert-track chairs, four new sets of bleachers, six new cooling unit fans in the barns, new lighting in all parking lots, new swine pens and the backstage storage building.
