HALLOWEEN IS THREE DAYS AWAY, BUT THAT LEAVES PLENTY OF TIME FOR TRICKS AND TREATS OVER THE WEEKEND. FOR SOME THIS WEEKEND IS THE BIGGEST OF THE YEAR. CASEY IS CALLED THE CAROL SPOKE WITH SOME LOCAL HAUNTS THEIR HALLOWEEN PLANS. HALLOWEEN IS FULL OF FRIGHTS AND FUN FOR OKLAHOMANS BUT THIS WEEKEND CAN ALSO BE A BIG DEAL FOR SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS. WE’VE GOT A LOT OF SHOWS SCHEDULED, NEW TALENT COMING IN FOR THE MIDWAY. A LOT MORE ACTORS COMING IN FOR GUTHRIE HORNS. THIS IS THE BIGGEST WEEKEND THE YEAR. A LOT OF THE OLD ACTORS LIKE TO COME BACK WEEKEND BECAUSE WE’VE BEEN HERE 13 YEARS AND THEY’VE THEY’RE ALL GROWN NOW. THEY’RE SCARE GROUNDS IS FULL ATTRACTIONS, BUT THE CENTERPIECE IS THEIR HAUNTED HOUSE. WITH EVERYTHING CREEPY YOU CAN IMAGINE, WE HAVE AN AWESOME INDOOR HAUNT RUNS ABOUT 25 TO 30 MINUTES LONG AND HALLOWEEN CAN’T HAVE THE TRICKS WITHOUT THE TREATS. JOE’S AND GRILL IN OKC PROVIDES JUST THAT ALL THE BUSINESSES AND CHARITIES WE DO STUFF WITH THROUGHOUT THE YEAR COME AND UP ON MILES AND PASS OUT CANDY TO KIDS EVERY YEAR SHIFTING FROM MINI GOLF COURSE TO CANDY GALORE FOR THE COMMUNITY AND THEY EVEN BRING IN OTHER SMALL BUSINESSES TO HELP PASS OUT THE TREATS. Halloween is full of frights and fun for Oklahomans, but this weekend can also be a big deal for small business owners."We got a lot of new shows scheduled, new talent coming in for the midway. Lot more actors coming in," said John Pagonis, who owns the Halloween attraction Guthrie Haunts. For Guthrie Haunts, this is the biggest weekend of the year."A lot of the old actors like to come back this weekend because we've been here 13 years and they're all grown now," Pagonis said.Their scare grounds are full of attractions, but the centerpiece is the Haunted House with everything creepy you can imagine."We have an awesome indoor haunt. Runs about 25 to 30 minutes long," Pagonis said.Halloween can't have the tricks without the treats. JR's Pub and Grill in Oklahoma City proves just that."All the businesses and charities we do stuff with throughout the year come and set up on the holes and pass out candy to the kids," JR's owner Karen Bettes said.Every year, JR's shifts its mini-golf course to a candy galore for the community. They even bring in other small businesses to help pass out treats."Last year, we put through 627 people," Bettes said. "It's just another way we give back."
