Halloween is full of frights and fun for Oklahomans, but this weekend can also be a big deal for small business owners.
"We got a lot of new shows scheduled, new talent coming in for the midway. Lot more actors coming in," said John Pagonis, who owns the Halloween attraction Guthrie Haunts.
For Guthrie Haunts, this is the biggest weekend of the year.
"A lot of the old actors like to come back this weekend because we've been here 13 years and they're all grown now," Pagonis said.
Their scare grounds are full of attractions, but the centerpiece is the Haunted House with everything creepy you can imagine.
"We have an awesome indoor haunt. Runs about 25 to 30 minutes long," Pagonis said.
Halloween can't have the tricks without the treats. JR's Pub and Grill in Oklahoma City proves just that.
"All the businesses and charities we do stuff with throughout the year come and set up on the holes and pass out candy to the kids," JR's owner Karen Bettes said.
Every year, JR's shifts its mini-golf course to a candy galore for the community. They even bring in other small businesses to help pass out treats.
"Last year, we put through 627 people," Bettes said. "It's just another way we give back."
