WHAT CAUSED THAT CRASH. KELLY: A MOTHER AND HER DAUGHTER RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL AFTER A STORAGE UNIT FELL ON TOP OF -- FELL ON THEIR CAR. THIS IS CRAZY. IT HAPPENED ON DIXIE HIGHWAY IN FAIRFIELD. POLICE SAY A TRACTOR-TRAILER STRUCK A TRAIN OVERPASS, CAUSING THE STORAGE CONTAINER TO FALL OFF AND SMASHING INTO THE FRONT OF A FORD FUSION. AGAIN, A MOTHER AND DAUGHTER WERE IN THE CAR. Fairfield Police say two people are injured after a storage unit fell off a tractor-trailer in Fairfield on Tuesday afternoon. It happened at approximately 3:26 p.m. on Dixie Highway near St. Clair Avenue at the railroad underpass. Police say a semi-tractor trailer transporting a storage unit struck the underpass, which caused the storage unit to fall off the trailer and strike a Ford Fusion. The two occupants of the Ford Fusion, a mother and her daughter, were transported to Fort Hamilton Hospital with potentially serious injuries, according to police.
