Looks Like Tickets For Avengers: Infinity War Will Go On Sale This Week

It's being reported that tickets for Avengers: Infinity War will go on sale this week, soon after Tuesday's big trailer reveal.

Now that Black Panther has been unleashed, all eyes in the movie business are beginning to turn toward a little-known Marvel film called Avengers: Infinity War.

Directed by MCU veterans Joe and Anthony Russo, it’s seemingly on the verge of dropping its new (and presumably final) trailer ahead of April 27th, while we understand Entertainment Tonight is planning a special behind-the-scenes showcase for later this evening. Stay tuned for more on that front.

But that’s not all; it’s now being reported that Marvel plans to launch ticket sales for Avengers: Infinity War on Friday, March 16th, thereby opening up six weeks’ worth of advanced tickets for what is undoubtedly the biggest comic book movie of 2018.

Word of this alleged on-sale date comes to us via Reddit, where one anonymous tipster who claims to work at a “3-lettered [and] very popular movie theatre chain” (AMC, perhaps?) posted the following images:

Here’s the accompanying text, which goes on to allege that theaters across the country have now been notified about ticket sales in order to arrange their own respective schedules.

Word has just been put out by bookings that we will need showtimes prepared and ready by tomorrow, and they will be shown online to the public by this Friday. First showtimes start at 7pm on the 26th. There will be a 3D fan event with collectibles reserved for fan event ticketholders at 6pm on the 26th. (they are nothing special, trust me, but a good opportunity to see the movie one hour early if you get tickets early enough).

And though it’s impossible to know for sure at this early stage, it’s not uncommon for Hollywood’s biggest studios to launch ticket sales in tandem with the reveal of a new trailer. Hype begets hype, and all that.

Look for Avengers: Infinity War to light up theaters the world over on April 27th.
